A useful image brief removes production ambiguity

A seller image brief is the small set of facts that lets a visual team create without guessing. It identifies the exact product variation, the visual questions to answer, source material that can prove those facts, and the destination for the assets.

Choose a reference image that represents the item today

Use the clearest product reference available, with the current colour, form, trim, packaging, and included components visible. Add supporting angle references when the reverse, a material detail, or construction cannot be verified from the primary view.

Write selling points as facts a reviewer can check

List the material, measurement, included part, product function, or other product truth that an image needs to communicate. Keep the input concise and avoid unverified superlatives, competitor comparisons, medical language, or unsupported claims.

Seller questions

Questions sellers ask before they start

How many product references should I include?

Start with one accurate primary image. Add supporting angles only when they help verify a detail that cannot be seen in the main reference.
